Nice! Looking forward to the barbarians pack.
Oh, I suggested that too 🙂 Didn’t remember.. I have suggesteg so many things already! But anyway, keep up the work, looking good! And yes, barbarians should be hairy too 🙂
ah, ok. So this is coming out as a “generic wizard” pack and there will be an additional tribal/voodoo/evil wizard pack. That means you will release them as different categories but use the same base character – which is ok and actually excellent. I was worried that they will use a separate base and the evil wizards cant use the items from this pack and vice-verse. That would have been a shame since there are great new options coming out judging by the previews posted in this topic.
Btw. how is the “version 2.0” proceeding? I mean the bersion with higher resolutions and categories. Do you have any estimate on the schedulefor it?
The skins and wardrobe options look good . I really like them them. Can you add a some options that look savage, dirty, bloody, torn and dented? Like the barbarian is just back from a battle or has been roaming the woods and mountains for days: http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/scale_super/10/104362/1993127-conan_the_barbarian.jpg
I’d like to see barbarians first. There are already a lot of generic warrior-style options in all the current races but barbarian/nomad is missing completely.
err… are we talking Pathfinder/D&D here ?
Because I’m not using class/alignment based systems and as far as I’m concerned an evil temptress is indistinguishable from a fairy princess (beside the wings, granted 😉 ).
Okay, I agree, I may be a minority… :)
You are of course right about the evil temptress and fairy princess but games are usually so wonderfully black and white that people get upset when they have to wage war against an army of pretty fairy princesses 🙂
the evil witches, the shamas, the woodoo stuff, and every evil non hermetic spellcasters will be in another pack. (with dark evil backgrounds, props, hair, character, etc)
Ah, but isn’t that a bit problematic. I can see the separation of the spellcaster types… but within one type there should be both good and evil characters. Say, if you add the shaman-stuff in into another spellcaster-pack: I think there should be “good” shamans too and not only evil shamans. The same with jungle/tribal/voodoo magic stuff. The difference between good and evil would be maybe the character skin + whatever the character is holding in his/her hands. Shouldn’t there be both good and evil tribal magic stuff?
My point is that type is not the same as good/evil. There are a two dozen spellcaster types (wizard, alchemist, druid, priest, necromancer, shaman, healer,…) but I think all of them could have good or evil characters.
I might be misunderstanding things and getting everything wrong though 🙂
One more thing… Sade, please don’t forget to add some very nasty evil female spellcasters too… I’m just getting worried because the images you have posted to the forum are all so pretty and nice looking ladies 🙂
For example pale-skinned and black eyed evil looking females, female undeads with half of their face showing through a skull and burning eyes etc. Something in this direction – just even more evil 🙂

– http://www.kropserkel.com/Images/nazgulscottatexhibit.jpgBlack Sabbath has this song “Lady Evil” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hc7MJ7K3ldw … I’d really like to know if there are options to create the Lady Evil too 🙂
“And they only speak in whispers of her name
There’s a lady they say who feeds the darkness
It eats right from her hand
With a crying shout she’ll search you out
And freeze you where you stand
Lady Evil, evil
She’s a magical, mystical woman
Lady Evil, evil in my mind
She’s queen of the night”
The song has nice lyrics too:)Still for page 10:
– The big floating spellbook is superb!
– The smoke-haired tattooed girl is also a nice addition. It’s always a bonus to get ‘new races’ from the usual ones. The cat-eyes stand out nicely from the bluish skin.
– About the mask: I’d like to create robbers or rogues with a black mask. I think a zorro-mask (black mask over the eyes) or a black scarf over the face (like the bank robbers in western http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2011/08/20/article-2028131-0D7F9E5600000578-118_233x423.jpg ) would do nicely. The zorro-mask might work for a superhero too. I think they are pretty universal and could be used in many contexts. Robbers, superheros, spiritual clans (with robes), ninja-type fighters etc.
yes, i call it twig.. 🙂 i wanted to make myself once (irl) https://www.google.hu/search?q=fairy+wand&espv=2&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=NB68U8XSPPOM7AaRv4CgCQ&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ&biw=1280&bih=856#q=wicca+wand&tbm=isch (with some stone, crystal, runes, you know :)) (sorry, i dont have much harry potter relation, i m not a fan)
Well, I think it’s ok to make yourself a wand but when you start carrying it around irl people will start to get worried:) Twig is a good word for them – I’m far from a Potter fan but it just came to mind since it’s mainstream example and everyone knows them 🙂
About the torch on page 10: The fire and the yellow glow is really good. I think the lighter color between the hand and the fire is a bit problematic – at first I thought the darker part of the torch (near the fist) was just a clenched fist and the other (lighter) part was background and the fire was kind of floating in the air:) You had to take a closer look to see ‘what is happening’ between the hand and the fire. I think the problem is changing the torches color close to the fist. Maybe the complete torch should be the same (preferrably dark) color?
wands
These look really good . Did you include any ‘simple’ pointed wands that you would aim and ‘shoot’? Like these Harry Potter wands for example http://www.thinkgeek.com/images/products/other/e625_harry_potter_infra_red_battling_wand_grid_embed.jpg
Wow, incredible how fast you are producing the new graphics. The above bookstand+book are really nice. I don’t understand what it has to do with the background? Is there a new background option? Or is the stand actually in the ‘hand’ option and it only appears next to the character (like the floating book – which btw looks great)? If the stand is optional then it should be put into the ‘companion’ options – one bookstand+book behind the character, another in front of the character. As a bonus you you choose the placing yourself. At the moment the companions only include creatures but it would be the natural place for bigger items that are not directly worn or carried by the character.

i through the wiccan-shaman-witch-necromancer-woodoo will be in other pack, in this will be hermetic fantasy stuff, because im lost already 🙂 (i plan to here the alchemists too :))
Ok, that narrows down the options a little bit 🙂
wich colour and designed outfits want to see here? i dont promise, but if i can i add 🙂
as i noticed the mages mostly under-dressed females with ton of accessories, or over dressed simple ladies, with corset and cloak… 🙂
My google-image-search for “female mage” confirms that your description of the female mages clothing is pretty accurate 🙂 I mostly like my fantasy dark and that applies to the mage clothing too. Some simple robes with hoods and maybe ornamented robes with hoods. And separate priest-robes. I think the robes are the most important piece of clothing . They are pretty unisex and a similar design should work for both male and female.
Ok, so it’s still portrait. I’m glad anyway that you are working on the problem with cropped images. I know it’s not a problem for everyone but for me it limits using the options.
If you are still going to work on the cropping issue i’d suggest the following: Start using the full (uncropped) layer images. Add an option to use the current 2:3 portrait format or a 1:1 option. The first 2:3 format will work exactly like it currently works, the second would have extra space to prevent cropping. You could just disable backgrounds and frames if they don’t work in 1:1 format anymore. That way people who use frames and backgrounds can still use them. When using frames the image composition is often better when the image is cropped since the character appears larger in the image.
Just my thoughts on the issue since I don’t know what your exact plans are. Maybe you have an even better solution.
Thanks for offering to upload the uncropped images – but don’t worry about that. I’ll ask you later if it turns out there is something specific that I need.
