I have been working on a computer game, with RPG Maker MV and Epic Character Generator, and it is progressing nicely.

I was wondering if perhaps anyone is interested in trying out the demo?

But if this is not your cup of tea, no worries 🙂

if i allow a suggession, you use other font. you can find lot of free font on dafont.com, but this font is fairly overused.

I just thought the Papyrus font would suit the setting, desert and all, and I think it works not too badly? But I shall definitely look up the website!

Okay, the 10 iconic fonts and why never to use them actually made me a bit angry. Not at you Sade, never :), but because of the audacity of this guy, stating that:

‘Papyrus is the king of bad fonts. Equal parts childish, kitschy and irritating. Papyrus isn’t bad because it is overused: it’s bad because it just doesn’t look good. Kitschy, cheap and vile, Papyrus has no place in your designs.’

What arrogance! I like the font and I will use it when I wish. As if the taste of this man is some kind of nature’s law. Wat a complete and utter imbecile!

Sorry for the rant, but this gets my blood boiling. Anyway, I will take a look at the other fonts and thanks always for the efforts!

But to continue my rant…what is wrong with these Design Inquisition people?
I get that Papyrus is overused, but calling people who like it things like:

‘hippy cat ladies starting lines of organic, botanical, natural, eco-friendly, green, environmentally-conscious bath products.’

What are they, the gods of design who fathom all and master every aspect of it?
God, the internetz drives me crazy sometimes.

i like papyrus font, but i think it’s not to readable in this case. (but i’m same picky the comic sans somewhy). the style is terrible of this article, but the papyrus make
“paclovian reflexes” from lot of people, and they judge before anything.
its sad, but true.

I can understand that, and readability is a valid argument. I will look into these other fonts.

It’s just, guys like from the article, pretending to know it all and telling everybody how it is…that gets to me. Some experiences from my past, I guess.

I have no problem if people say ‘in my opinion, papyrus is a bad font’. That would be alright. But stating it as a fact….

But I understand your point, Fasold, personally, I’ll most certainly keep using fonts such as Impact or Comic Sans, although they tend to be edited somewhat in postwork… 😉 🙂

I’m a big fan of Papyrus font so…. eh….

I’m on a really old PC at the moment, but I’d be glad to give it a test, Fasoldgames, if this old desktop can manage it. 😛
