“Can’t connect to the Server. Proceeding in Offline mode.”

It’s been a long time since I’ve tried logging into ePic Character Generator. I tried to do so today, but every time I try to login I get the message “Can’t connect to the Server. Proceeding in Offline mode.” I know there isn’t a problem with my username or password, as I’m able to log into this website just fine. Is this a problem on my end, or on the server side?

Hi!

We updated our communication protocol lately, but already implemented everything client side in spring. If you haven’t launched the program since it couldn’t get the update automatically, so I’d advice on redownloading and running the installer from the website. You don’t have to uninstall your current version, so can keep your local files.

Please let us know if this still doesn’t work.

Thank you, re-downloading and installing the program fixed the problem. However, I did end up having to uninstall the old version after all, as when I tried installing the new version it kept having problems that required me to skip files which made it not work. But that didn’t matter to me, in the end it works now. Thank you again for the quick assistance.
